The opportunity to do live sound production for Discoheadslive at the Chicago Columbus Day Parade was too interesting to pass up. Many new challenges. A moving stage. Uncertain parking situation. Loading, unloading and management of equipment in a major city full of people walking around. The initial float we were assigned to perform on arrived and hour late, so there would be little time to setup. As we were setting up, the generator hadn't arrived yet, we couldn't power our equipment without a generator. The stage area was too small to accommodate the band size. Nothing was working out and I was planning to pack up when the leader of Discoheadslive somehow found another float to perform on. Things got rolling and it was a good time.
