Syncing Synths and Drum Machines

The short answers is a MIDI Clock. Search MIDI Clocks and you'll find what you're looking for. But since you're here, this is the one I would recommend, the multiclock – professional sync box - E-RM

The only problem is that they don't make it anymore. But you're in luck because someone else does. They took over the business and started making it again. Find it here: Floatingpoint Instruments

But if you don't feel like spending $500+ on syncing your synths and drum machines, there are other ways. The Behringer RD-8 and RD-9 have sync in and out jacks. Your specific synth may have the same. Korg Volca series can also sync that way, along with many other synths.

However, a friend who was looking for a way to sync his microKORG and Behringer RD-9, the microKORG doesn't have a 1/8 ts sync, but it does have a MIDI in/thru/out, as does the RD-9. To him I recommended a MIDI Clock. You can find Sweetwater videos on YouTube detailing the options. You can use your computer to trigger the synths. But really, you want to create music and if $500 is all it costs to create music then the easy way gets it done.

For the record, I don't have a multiclock but do want one. Synths are more of a hobby in my music efforts, but still, I see a multiclock and see that it is the solution to a problem.
